What you can do is buy out a printer cleansing kit for cleaning the printer head. Also, we have seen some people use Ammonia (NH4) for dealing with the dried ink. All the more we have heard of a quote that “Prevention is better than cure” which is what we should work on. We can prevent the ink from clogging on to the cartridge, just by taking care of some points, ie:

-  Do not let the printer rest with empty cartridges
-  Don’t leave the printer unused for a long time, it also causes clogging.

- You are not required to print bulk at regular intervals but still should be like 1-2 pages in 1 or 2 days would be sufficient.
- Also you are recommended to print in a colored manner too to maintain the balance between the cartridges.
- Air bubbles may disrupt printing if the cartridge is not returned properly.

- Using any of these methods with these tips and precautions would use up less ink and your cartridge would work more.
